This action packed tour departs Cape Town early morning heading towards the most Southern Tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas – where the Atlantic & Indian oceans truly meet! We venture further along the coast towards Mossel Bay, where an afternoon Big 5 safari game drive can be done on a privately owned Game reserve known as The Garden Route Game Lodge – student discount is offered! Tonight, we overnight on a train (yes – a real train!!) which is now a backpacker hostel, 30 meters from the Indian ocean!
After an early morning wakeup call from the thundering waves, we have breakfast before hitting the road onto fascinating Oudtshoorn. We visit an ostrich farm where we learn about these enormous flightless birds. You can even try riding one, hold onto your hat! We also explore the Cango Caves which are the largest caves in South Africa. From here we make our way back towards Cape Town via Route 62, the longest wine route in the world which makes for breath-taking scenery through the mountains! Arrival in Cape Town early evening!
