Hello everybody!

My name is Maxime, I am the new intern of Bokbus company. I come from France, where I am currently studying in an International Business Management School. I am in second year and my skills are marketing and communication. I decided to go to South Africa to do my 5 months of internship, because I wanted to experience a new culture with different people. I chose to work with Bokbus because the company offered me exactly the kind of mission I was looking to enrich my knowledge. My hobbies are mountain hiking, going to the beach, playing sports and everything is possible here because this city offers the opportunity to treat yourself constantly!

I started my internship in this company Monday, April 4, 2016. Ryan, Apie and other employees have very welcomed me, which is always nice to work in good conditions! I try to bring a maximum of my knowledge to try to advance the company. The place where I work is fabulous which allows a relaxed work atmosphere and interesting for me to progress in English. Being French allows the company to extend its customer base and offer tours that are translated in their native languages. All I am doing is interesting to Bokbus, I am never bored.

Since I arrived in South Africa, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, I visited many places that are more beautiful than each other. I had the opportunity to climb up the Table Mountain and see beautiful landscapes. I also discovered the wealth of the local markets. I also went to see the wonderful beaches of Camps Bay and Hout Bay. There are many things to be visited here and the continent proposes numerous fascinating excursions. I also had the opportunity to go to Waterfront where there is a beautiful shopping center with shops and a superb view of the port of Cape Town. The people here are very nice and caring. The weather here is perfect, every day the sun is present which can cross the area when I have free time. My accommodation is very good and my roommate know what happening and what is interesting. Each housemate comes from a different country, we can share our different cultures, which is very rewarding. I advise all students to come and enjoy this country as part of their studies or a gap year because there are many things to discover here!

I would come back to you, to communicate my experience when I would go on a safari!

Best regards,
Maxime Robin
