Day
1:
Depart
Cape Town and head out via the stunning False
Bay coastal road and onto Hermanus which is famous
for the Southern Right Whale and is also the world’s
best land based whale watching (in season) site.
We’ll explore Hermanus and do some wine
tasting and then we’ll head for the most
Southern tip of Africa where the 2 oceans truly
meet! At Cape Agulhas we visit the Lighthouse
which is located on the Southern tip of the continent
as well as visit Arniston which is famous for
its magnificent untouched beaches. Tonight we
overnight in Cape Agulhas. (D)
After
a scrumptious breakfast we’ll head towards
Oudtshoorn. We’ll visit the world famous
Cango Caves where you can choose between the daring
adventure tour and the standard tour options.
Thereafter we’ll visit an ostrich farm where
you can learn a bit more about this flightless
bird and even get a chance to ride one. Tonight
we’ll stay in Oudtshoorn. (B,D)
After
breakfast you have the option to visit a cheetah
and crocodile breeding centre with a variety of
the big cat species. Departing Oudtshoorn we head
down the coast and towards Wilderness. In the
afternoon we’ll visit Victoria Bay beach
and you’ll have the option of canoeing on
the Wilderness lagoon spotting up to 200 different
species of birds. Tonight we’ll stay in
Wilderness (B,D,)
After
breakfast we’ll spend the day exploring
Knysna which is renowned as South Africa favourite
town. Visit the African markets and The Knysna
Heads, as well as Knysna Lagoon and the beautiful
waterfront.. Tonight we stay in Knysna. (B.)
Today
the dare devils amongst you can try the 216m Bloukrans
Bungy as an optional extra. We’ll visit
Tsitsikamma National Park for a hike to the Stormsriver
mouth before heading to Jeffrey’s Bay where
you can visit the Billabong and Quicksilver factory
shops. Jeffrey’s Bay is South Africa’s
surfing capital and home to many surfing enthusiasts.
In the late afternoon we’ll head for our
evening’s accommodation situated in the
beautiful Sundays River valley where we’ll
spend a relaxing evening around a camp fire. (B,D)
Today
we head onto one of South Africa’s most
famous National parks -Addo Elephant National
Park. We will explore the park thoroughly viewing
Elephants, buffalo, dung beetles, warthogs, and
many other of Africa’s incredible creatures.
From here we head back to Port Elizabeth where
the Tour concludes.
